School is praying for a huge Hit Out crowd

March 21, 2017

St Michael's School captains Eliza Bradford, Angus Shand and Chloe Brown are ready to swing into action.

Budding golfers are being asked to get their teams together for the annual Deniliquin St Michael’s School Holey Hit Out.

The school has this year chosen to donate proceeds to the Connor-Lucas family from its annual charity golf event.

‘‘We really want to help support the family’s journey while they’re in Melbourne and help out in anyway we can,’’ event coordinator Charmaine Marshall said.

‘‘We have some amazing prizes and raffles up for grabs thanks to generous donations from local businesses, so it’s set to be a great day for a great cause.’’

The four person ambrose event will be held on Sunday, March 26, and participants are asked to meet at Deniliquin Golf Club at 11.30am, for a shotgun start at noon.

The cost is $25 per person, which includes a barbecue lunch.

There will be a mobile drinks cart (strictly no BYO) and plenty of prizes to be won, including random prizes, draws and raffles throughout the day.

Last year’s event saw 111 golfers take to the course for a day of friendly competition.

Registrations can be made by calling the Deniliquin Golf Club Pro Shop on 58813333.
