Driver’s licence suspended

A 24 year-old Deniliquin man has had his driver’s licence suspended pending a court appearance to face an alleged drink driving charge.

Police stopped a car in Burchfield Avenue, Deniliquin about 1.20am Saturday, and subjected the driver to a roadside breath test.

The driver was taken to Deniliquin Police Station where police allege to have recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.184. He was charged with high range prescribed content of alcohol and ordered to appear in court.
