Vicki Barnes was the inaugural winner of the Pam Jarratt Cup.
The cup is named in honour of long-time local golfer Pam Jarratt due to her hard work over the years running the ladies’ competition each week.
The trophy is played for during the season on a point score system based from the results of the Tuesday ladies’ nine-hole competition for beginners.
‘‘Vicki is a new golfer and was delighted with her win,’’ Jarratt said.
‘‘I’m hoping to see a few more ladies playing golf next year.
‘‘I plan to run clinics for beginners early next year.
‘‘Our summer competition will start this week and will run through the summer months. Everyone is welcome and it’s a good way for newcomers to get started.’’
Jarratt and the rest of the lady golfers would like to thank Rae Lawrence for donating the cup.
