Sureway open night for job seekers, employers

Sureway staff Lee Clear (left) and Claire Cowley are inviting people to the open night.

Employment and training agency Sureway is opening its doors to the public for an information evening on Thursday to help inform people on what job opportunities are available locally.

Deniliquin-based recruitment consultant Claire Cowley says it’s the ideal way for job seekers to network with the relevant consultants and for people to find out about Sureway’s services.

‘‘There’ll be information about wage subsidy and paid work trials in Deniliquin,’’ she said.

‘‘We have internship programs which are open for eligible job seekers and which are also available for eligible employers.

‘‘These internship programs provide work placement and work experience — which can look good on a resume — and for employers it comes at no cost.

‘‘This information evening is so people can find out more details on what we can offer, and we’re happy to answer questions,’’ Mrs Cowley said.

Drinks and food will be provided, with the event to be held at the Sureway Deniliquin office on the corner of Cressy and Napier Sts (next to Bennett’s Intersport). To RSVP contact Claire at the office on 58470900.

Sureway specialises in meeting the needs of job seekers by developing their skills, providing personal support and moving them into sustainable employment.
