There was a party in the park when the long-awaited Liberty Swing was officially opened on Sunday.

Specifically designed for people in a wheelchair, the swing is located at the Deniliquin RSL Park. It was installed with support from Deniliquin Rotary Club, Deniliquin Lions, Deniliquin Soroptimists, Deniliquin RSL Club, Rotary Australia Benevolent Society and Edward River Council.

Lions members cooked up a barbecue for those in attendance, which included some very excited clients of disability support service Kurrajong Waratah.
