Festival for kids, families

December 26, 2017

The Great Gizmo is action at the 2017 Children's Day.

New Year excitement quickly builds for Deniliquin’s famous Sun Festival, which this year offers the Children’s Party on Friday, January 12.

The Great Gizmo returns in 2018 as another one of his crazy characters, ‘Top Dog Bob’, who’ll be interacting with the crowd and showing off his many skills.

The Fusion group will provide free activities such as face painting and mini-games, ensuring the little ones are kept busy.

Rides will include the popular merry-go-round and slot cars, all of which are free of charge and fun for all.

Darryl’s Farmyard — with chickens, goats, pigs and other animals — will feature depending on the weather conditions.

New to this year’s Sun Festival is a bubble show, where youngsters can blow their own bubbles.

Food and drinks will be available at a low cost throughout the day, including a family-favourite icecream stand to help keep you cool.

The Children’s Party is held in the lush surrounds of the Waring Gardens in Deni’s CBD.
