There were two crashes in the Mathoura area within five hours on Friday, including the rollover of a B-double truck carrying cattle.
The truck rolled on Bunnaloo Rd west of Mathoura about 8am.
About 12.30pm the same day, there was a car crash near Moira Station, south of Mathoura.
NSW Rural Fire Service Mid Murray zone manager Tony Whitehorn said Mathoura firefighters responded to both incidents on Friday, to provide ‘‘fire cover’’.
‘‘Firefighters also assisted with the extraction of cattle at the truck rollover,’’ Mr Whitehorn said.
‘‘Some were already dead and others were injured, but I’m not sure how many.’’
NSW Ambulance inspector of service delivery southern sector Bruce Purves said reports relayed to paramedics indicate a truck was involved in the car crash near Moira Station.
Insp Purves said the 47 year-old Victorian woman driving the car suffered minor injuries.
‘‘The driver was transported by Deniliquin paramedics to Echuca Hospital with a haematoma (bruising) to the right side of her head and some soreness,’’ he said.
