Russell and Bradley Chaplin became the third father-son combination to claim Champion Senior shooter and Champion Junior shooter awards in the same year at the club’s December shoot last year.

The pair were the first to do so since Rod and Ryan Wharton won their respective titles in 2010, also joining Brian and Zac Norris as father-son winners.

The club’s competition starts in December each year, and runs through to the following November. In order to win, members have to attend a minimum of five shoots during the year.

Russell shot at an average of 21.33 to finish in front of Ron Kopanica, average 19.27. Bradley averaged 15.33 with runner-up Beth Mills averaging 14.27.
