The Deniliquin Drovers’ Touch Rugby 7s competition will kick-off tomorrow night.
The eight-week casual competition will see mixed teams of seven players with players aged 13 and up.
Drovers secretary Angela Coffey said players can just turn up on the night.
‘‘It’s a pretty casual competition so we encourage everyone to come have a try,’’ she said.
‘‘The rules follows Viva sevens style with seven touches to score before ball is handed over.
‘‘Once a player is touched, they can pass to a teammate or perform a place.
‘‘When the ball goes over the sideline, a quick throw back in takes place and kicking is allowed in general play, which is different to touch footy.
‘‘We’re hoping that surrounding sporting clubs like the Rams and the Rovers get involved for a bit of fun.’’
The Touch Rugby 7s competition will be held at Rotary Park at 6.30pm.
