Now ‘regulars’ at the monthly Naponda Farmers’ Market in Deniliquin, the Edward River Sustainability Group used Saturday’s market as an extra opportunity to promote another upcoming event.
Members of the group will this year host the popular Easter ArtOut artisan and vintage market, which will be held as part of Deni Fest over the Easter long weekend.
Organised in conjunction with Edward River Council, the market will be held along Cressy St in Deniliquin’s CBD on Easter Saturday, March 31 from 9am to 2pm.
Edward River Sustainability Group members are looking for stallholders who can showcase visual arts, ceramics, sculptures, artisan or vintage jewellery, clothing and footwear, haberdashery and homewares or other brilliant pieces.
Group member Jane Frazer said there’s already been some keen interest in the market this year, and she encouraged other potential stallholders to register their interest early.
Applications are due by Friday, March 16, with successful stallholders required to pay a site fee of $25 per site by March 20.
For information or an application form, contact Ms Frazer at the Deniliquin Visitor Information Centre on 1800650712 or Linda Duffy on 0417934130.
Credited with started a ‘boomerang bags’ initiative in Deniliquin — where sewn shopping bags are used in place of plastic bags — the Edward River Sustainability Group’s aim is to support projects that promote positive living in Deniliquin and surrounding areas.
