The Mayrung RFS brigade attended and the blaze took about an hour to extinguish with the help of the property owner.
Just before 3pm Wednesday, a grassfire was reported in the Brassi area on the Edward River about 13km west of Deniliquin.
The fired burned up to a hectare of grassland.
The Brassi RFS brigade were on site for about 45 minutes in extinguishing the blaze.
Also about 3pm Wednesday, wind reignited a permitted burn at a Mayrung property, according to the RFS.
