The Deni Rhinos Under 14s have earned the right to a home grand final in the Murray Valley Cricket Association, following a big seven wicket win over Nathalia in the semi final at Memorial Park on Sunday.
After losing the toss and being sent out to bowl first, the Rhinos restricted the Purples to 8/77 from the allotted 40 overs.
Noah Bradley led the way with the ball with impressive figures of 3/9 off his five over spell, while Charlie Hillier (2/7 off six), Kai Hillier (1/8 off six) and Ryan Rotherham (1/9 off six) were other wicket takers.
The Rhinos started their run chase strongly with Kai Hillier and Lachy Holloway scoring quickly to push the score to 27 runs after 11 overs.
Kai (seven) was then trapped in front, slowing the run rate down for the Rhinos.
Charlie Hillier joined Lachy in the middle, with the pair partnering up for 13 runs before the latter was bowled out in the 21st over, with the Rhinos 2/40 and needing 38 runs with 19 overs remaining.
Jack Richards made his way to the middle, scoring 14 runs to put the Rhinos back into a strong position before he was trapped in front.
Tom Bradley (nine not out) was the next batsman in, partnering with Charlie (19 not out) to get the Rhinos level with the Purples during the 33rd over.
Tom then sealed the win for Deni smashing the ball away for a six, sending his side through to the decider.
The win will see the Rhinos host Katunga in the decider on Sunday morning.
