SunRice has confirmed a contract truck driver was injured in a ‘‘serious accident’’ at the Deniliquin Australian Grain Services site on Friday.
Details surrounding the incident, or the driver’s specific injuries, have not been provided to the Pastoral Times.
A spokesperson from the company said the truck driver was delivering rice when he was injured.
‘‘The injured person was attended onsite by paramedics and taken to hospital to be treated for injuries,’’ the spokesperson said.
‘‘SunRice will continue to provide full support to the injured person and their loved ones during this time.
