Two drivers were lucky to escape without injury after being involved in a head on collision near Wakool on Monday morning.
Police allege a Mazda ute travelling toward Deniliquin on Rangemore Rd crossed to the incorrect side of the road, in front of an Isuzu ute coming the other way.
The collision occurred near the intersection of Jerrys Rd about 10.50am.
Police said both drivers were taken to Deniliquin Hospital for observation, but that neither had any significant injury.
Drink drive charge
A 30 year-old man was charged with low range prescribed content of alcohol after reportedly failing a breath analysis by the narrowest or margins.
Police were following a a car travelling on Hardinge St, Deniliquin when it pulled into a George St car park.
Police stopped to speak to the driver and subjected him to a breath test, which they allege was positive.
In further testing at Deniliquin Police Station, police allege to have recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.050.
The driver was issued a court attendance notice to appear in Deniliquin Court.
