Deni Rams footballers traded in their footy boots for golf clubs during their charity golf day on Sunday.

Eighteen teams of four golfers competed in the ambrose event, with $1800 raised.

The team of Brian Bourke, Ashley Hall, Mandy Phyland and Annette Danckert won the event with a score of 52.

Second place went to Brendan Willoughby, Jim Poka jnr, Anthony Bradley and Tim Hillier on 52 while third place was taken out by John Radeski, Terry Howe, Margaret Radeski and Shandra Simpson on 53.

NTPs went to John Radeski and Felicity McCalman on the 9th hole.

Rams member Gary Parsons said it was a fantastic day.

‘‘We had about 80 golfers with a good mix of footballers, netballers and golfers,’’ he said.

‘‘Bill O’Brien had the highlight of the day with his second shot on the third hole.

‘‘The ball almost landed in a tray of sausages at the barbecue tent.

‘‘It was a fun day had by all.’’

The Rams would like to thank sponsors of the event Globe Hotel, Mitre 10, Brian Mitsch & Associates, Riverina Watermatic and Elders.
