Raiders rocked by Epsom

June 02, 2018

It was a disappointing day in round seven of the Bendigo Amateur Soccer League for the Moama-Echuca Border Raiders Division Two side, falling to Epsom 6-0 on Sunday.

Playing in Epsom the Raiders, made up mostly of Deniliquin Wanderers players, were 4-0 down at half time.

They had no answer for Epsom striker Brodie McSweeney, with two first half goals before scoring a hat-trick with the last goal of the game in the 87th minute.

The loss has left the Raiders at the bottom of the ladder with an 0-8 start to the season.

They will now look to bounce back when they face Strathfieldsaye Colts United tomorrow.
