What a beautiful time of the year this is.
Yes it is cold, but the bracing mornings are invigorating and the glory of God’s creation is everywhere to be seen in the changing colours of autumn and winter.
As the leaves turn to various shades of red and yellow and then drop from the trees, it reminds me of the changes that happen in our lives and the need to be ever renewed in our faith and love for God and our love and hope for each other and for our world.
Like the different colours of the autumn foliage and the dropping leaves, so the colours of our life experience will be different as we continually shed the things that impede our relationship with Jesus and with people.
The yearly seasons of God’s creation are for replacing, renewing and growing.
So too we need to replace fear, anger, hopelessness, self-want with being positive, peaceful, full of faith and hope and sharing God’s love with all people so that all of us will grow and bring forth new life and beauty now and for eternity.
