GM resigns

He is leaving to take up a role with Bayside City Council in Victoria as director environment, recreation and infrastructure

"I have really enjoyed my time at Edward River Council. The councillors, staff and community have been incredibly welcoming and supportive," Mr McSwain said.

“I particularly want to thank and acknowledge all of our staff. The commitment and passion that they have for this community is tremendous and shines through every day with the amount of projects, services and events that we are delivering.

“I also want to acknowledge the Mayor Norm Brennan, Deputy Mayor Pat Fogarty and all of the councillors for the support and leadership they have provided. Their focus on getting on with the job and delivering for the community has made my job a lot easier."
