Mrs Landale was last week inducted as a director on its board.
Inducted at the same time was beef industry leader Erica Halliday of Nevis Angus in Walcha.
Born and raised on a mixed farming property in NSW, Mrs Landale is the founder and managing director of Farm Table, a national online knowledge sharing platform.
The platform connects producers with the latest research, opportunities and resources, and to each other, to help them to navigate the complexities of farming.
As a result she brings to the table skills in business development, financial management, stakeholder engagement, technical development, event management, design and testing, agriculture research and content development and dissemination.
‘‘I’m at the start of what will be a really long career in agriculture and I'm based in a small rural community as well, so I'm committed to seeing rural communities thrive and survive going forward,’’ she said.
‘‘Going forward Rural Aid is looking at a more proactive approach to building stronger regions and communities. They do such an incredible job in terms of supporting farming and rural communities during and after natural disasters, droughts and fires, but also looking at how Rural Aid can enable communities to grow and prosper outside of natural disasters.’’
Prior to Farm Table, Mrs Landale was a business analyst with Macquarie Bank’s Paraway Pastoral Co – which operates 27 pastoral enterprises.
She was also a drought coordinator with Edward River Council, a researcher and columnist for Food Tank in Chicago and an economics and policy senior consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Melbourne.
Rural Aid chairman Alex Hutton said both new appointments further strengthened Rural Aid’s already strong connections with rural Australia.
‘‘Their extensive relationships in rural and corporate sectors will ensure that Rural Aid continues to have a strong capacity to meet its objective to support rural and regional Australia in times of need,’’ he said.
