The region’s best junior footballers have strutted their stuff at the 33rd annual Goulburn Campaspe Junior Football League carnival.
Five competitions made the trip to Rochester Recreation Reserve on Sunday as part of the event, with teams entered across age groups from under-12 to under-16.
The day included a total of 27 matches, and GCJFL president Paul Shortis commended the high level of skills displayed throughout the day.
‘‘We were able to see the various talent from the region on display with some great contests had,’’ he said.
Shepparton District Junior Football League enjoyed the most successful day, claiming the under-14 and under-16 competitions.
The Murray FL finished second in the under-16s, while Murray FL black and green finished second and last respectively in the under-14s.
In the under-12s, Central Vic Blue and Gold highlighted their region’s strengths with by claiming a one-two finish.
A standalone under-13 game saw Shepparton DJFL claim a resounding victory over the Goulburn Campaspe team.
