Mathoura hosted Rochester on Saturday, suffering a six shot overall loss, 63 to 57.
Joe Murphy, Les Bates, Dennis McHarry and Mick Humphreys (s) were the lone rink winners for Mathoura, standing tall by 10 shots, 23 to 13.
Anthony Hulm, Mick Beeche, David Hicks and Mark Quor went down by nine shots, 27 to 18; while Mick Hooper, Adam Cowley, Chris Roberts and Rod Werner (s) were defeated 23 to 16.
Division Two was also unable to overcome Rochester, defeated 76 to 59 on the Rochester greens.
David Vallence, Glen McConchie, Craig Hillier and Paul Clear (s) were the only shining light for Mathoura, winning their rink 28 to 24.
Steve O’Callaghan, Cec Moss, Terry Taylor and Ian Hunter (s) were narrowly beaten 17 to 15, while Peter Wilson, Pam Lewis, David Murray and Mick McDonald were no match in a 35 to 16 shot loss.
Mathoura’s Division Three side remain undefeated after a tight 58 to 56 away win against Echuca.
Garry Hulm, Gary Lumsden, Wayne Cowley and Ray Murphy (s) started the day well for Mathoura picking up a 21 to 16 win.
Ian Ross, Trent O’Callaghan, Pam Limbrick and Stan Limbrick (s) had a tough day on the green suffering a 10 shot loss, 24 to 14.
It came down to Barry Ireland, Merv Lewis, Peter Cowley and Chris Taylor (s), with the quartet rising to the occasion to score a 23 to 16 win.
An absolute thriller featured in Division Four, with Mathoura scoring a one shot win against Echuca at Mathoura, 53 to 52.
Mathoura needed just one rink win to stand tall, with Bruce Papworth, Tim Robertson, Ginny Kalsbeek and John Dean (s) victorious 20 to 13.
Adam Harding, Marj Cowley, Joan Moss and John Bates (s) were narrowly defeated by one shot, 18 to 17, while Peter Webber, Barry McMillan, Neil Dovaston and Bill Brander (s) went down 21 to 6.
Mathoura Red sit atop the midweek pennant ladder after a 59 shot win against Ky Valley View, 107 to 48, on Friday.
Mick Beeche, Cec Moss, Pam Limbrick and Pam Lewis (s) were the strongest performers with a massive 45 to 13 shot rink win.
David Vallance, Paul Clear, Joan Moss and Chris Taylor (s) echoed that effort with a 35 to 18 win, while Dennis McHarry, Rosa Shea, Virginia Kalsbeek and Beryl Murray (s) recorded a 27 to 17 victory.
Unfortunately Mathoura Blue were unable to overcome Moama Green, defeated by 11 shots, 66 to 55.
Gary Lumsden, Judy Maude, Joan Dovaston and Jenny Hicks were the only winners for Blue, defeating Green 23 to 17.
Neil Dovaston, Katie McCormack, Kath Hayes and Chris Frampton (s) were beaten 19 to 16 and Kath Mooney, Stan Limbrick, Marj Cowley and Jenny Chalmers (s) went down 30 to 16.
