A former school teacher has admitted to a dozen historical child sex crimes in Victoria, including beating one victim with a cane as he assaulted him.
Kevin Wilmore Myers on Tuesday admitted to charges including indecent assault and oral rape, which date back to the early 1980s and the mid-1990s across Victoria.
The 73-year-old was facing up to 44 charges, including fresh allegations, but pleaded guilty to 12 in Melbourne Magistrates Court. The remaining charges were withdrawn by prosecutors.
"Guilty, your honour," were the only words uttered by Myers.
On one occasion in the early 1980s in Victoria's Barwon region, Myers squeezed one boy's genitals as he struck his backside with a cane, court documents show.
He also admitted two counts of orally raping his victims and other indecent assault charges in both Victoria's southwest and suburban Melbourne.
Among the offences, Myers rubbed his victim's genitals and forced the boys to touch him.
Myers was extradited from Queensland for the crimes in October last year and was due to face a committal hearing before pleading guilty.
The charges follow an investigation by Victoria's Sano Taskforce, which specialises in historical child sexual abuse matters.
He is due to face a plea hearing at the Victorian County Court in October.
