Saturday’s 2018 Mathoura Speed Shear and Cancer Fundraiser was an exhibition of country life, with timber cutting and sheep shearing the centre of attention.
Held at Mathoura Recreation Reserve, the day was kicked off with chainsaw events from 11am.
There was plenty for people to do between competitions with an array of stalls and car boot sales as well as a barbecue, drinks and a licensed bar.
A special congratulations must go to Corey Taylor who put himself out there to raise funds for cancer programs and research by having his head shaved for the cause. More on Corey’s shave in the Pastoral Times next week.
