The Deniliquin RSL Club is preparing for the festive season, holding three separate events to get members into the spirit of Christmas.
They include the popular Members’ Christmas Party on December 15, the Little Digger’s Club Christmas Party on December 22 and the club’s traditional Christmas Day lunch on December 25.
Held from 6.30pm, the Members’ Christmas Party is where members can kick off their shoes and have a dance in the Dunlop Room, featuring live music from local band Cloud Nine.
For $25, members will enjoy a two course meal with beer, wine and soft drinks included.
The Christmas raffle will be drawn on the night with major prizes including an outdoor setting, barbecue, tents and other camping equipment.
Little Digger’s Club members are being rewarded for their club loyalty with a smashing Christmas party of their own.
From 2pm to 4pm on December 22, children will enjoy fun activities and games including apple and donut bobbing, pass the parcel and many more.
The Deniliquin Girl Guides will be at the party doing face painting.
If your child is aged 12 or under, they are eligible for membership as an RSL Little Digger. Annual membership is just $2.20.
All members who attend the party will receive an entry into the club’s kids’ raffle, which will be drawn immediately after the party, at 4.15pm.
The RSL’s popular Christmas luncheon takes the hassle out of preparing a Christmas feast.
Members and guests can dine on a three course meal including seafood, roast meats, sides and desserts. The lunch runs from noon to 2pm.
Adults eat for $60, children 8-15 are $30, children 3-7 are $15 and kids under three eat free. Book a place at reception. Payment is required at the time of booking.
