Car destroyed by fire

Deniliquin Fire + Rescue NSW were called to the north Deniliquin residence, but had difficulty extinguishing the fire due to a lack of water supply as the car was located behind the houses in Lagoon St, and because the fuel tank had ruptured.

Firefighters were called away, but soon returned to the scene after a hot spot started a new fire.

It is believed the cause may have been an electrical fault in the engine compartment area, with the car completely destroyed.
