About 120 people converged on the Deniliquin Golf Club for the Deniliquin Sing Australia choir event on Saturday.

The day saw Sing Australia members from the Deniliquin, Hay, Barham and Griffith, along with some guests, join together for the event designed to improve the health of Aussies.

Sing Australia choirs from all over Australia gathered simultaneously with 32 regional gatherings all happening for the national celebration.

Those in attendance enjoyed a home cooked afternoon tea and sang a range of familiar songs.

Deniliquin Sing Australia co-group leader Sue McMillan said it was a great day.

‘‘We had lots of fun with lots of happy people,’’ she said.

‘‘There were some really good singers among the crowd as well, with some that aren’t already members indicating they would like to join Sing Australia.’’
