Bad weather caused the delay of Mother’s Day celebrations at Mathoura Public School.
But the 100 people who attended last Friday will tell you it was well worth waiting for.
Wellbeing was the theme for the event which was funded by an ‘Empowering Our Communities’ grant from Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network.
And as well as being treated to a great afternoon of fun and food the mums, nans, grans, aunts and friends were given a timely reminder of the importance of remembering to take time for themselves and recharging their batteries.

Those who attend Barb Anderson’s popular gentle exercise classes at Mathoura Bowling Club on Fridays are reminded that they will not be conducted over the next two weeks, May 31 and June 7.
They will not only be missed by the regular participants, but club patrons and visitors who appear a little surprised when they come across a group working out on the dance floor.
Surprisingly none of them has ever accepted the invitation to join in.
Everything is scheduled to return to normal on Friday, June 14, so Barb will see you all then.
