Long-time nurse farewelled

By Deniliquin Pastoral Times

Deniliquin Health Service has farewelled one of its longest serving registered nurses, Christine Taylor.

Chris started her nursing training at Deniliquin Hospital in 1974.

She worked across many areas of the hospital, from medical and surgical in her early days of nursing, then on to theatre, anaesthetics, emergency department and maternity unit.

For the last 14 years Chris has been a member of the Community Health Team working in the Aged Care Assessment Team.

Staff past and present attended a lovely afternoon tea in Chris’s honour on July 3, and kind words were offered by colleagues like Barb Telford, Aged Care Assessment Service manager Karen Cranage and Deniliquin Health Service facility manager Ginny Lange.

Staff and management thanked Chris for her ‘‘wonderful dedication and exceptional commitment’’ to the Deniliquin Health Service over the past 45 years.
