Lions ready for season ahead

By Seymour Telegraph

Seymour starts its Goulburn Valley League campaign against southern rivals Mansfield on Saturday, April 6

The fixture list, which was released recently, pits the Lions against the Eagles first up in the 18-round GVL season.

The Lions finished eight points short of a finals berth in the football last season and will only have to wait until round five to take on 2018 premier Shepparton.

While the Lionesses performed valiantly to finish sixth in the home-and-away season and reach the semi-finals, they were toppled by eventual winners Echuca.

The netballers only have one week to settle themselves before taking on the reigning champions away from home at the Victoria Park courts.

The side will face Shepparton and Echuca twice in the normal season.
