The Rhinos boasted what was arguably their strongest Division One line-up of the season, spoiling the Saints’ season with a dominant eight-wicket victory at Memorial Park.
Upon winning the toss Deni sent Berrigan in to bat first.
The move proved a favourable one for the home side with Jack Tonta (2/23 off eight) taking the wicket of Damien Taylor (one).
Tonta proved crucial again, taking the wicket of Saints leading run scorer Zach Nugent (14) soon after, with Berrigan struggling at 2/22.
Wickets began to fall at regular intervals, with tight bowling keeping the run rate down.
Frazer Haintz was the only batsman to show some resistance, finishing 23 not out when the final wicket fell.
Phil Rotherham starred with the ball for the Rhinos, taking 3/15 off six overs, while Boddie Arthur managed two wickets without a run scored against him off his 1.2 overs.
Tim Hillier (1/19 off six) and Ash Germano (1/12 off four) were the other wicket takers.
Needing just 81 runs for victory, the Rhinos started strongly with Boddie Arthur and Chris Pyle at the crease.
Arthur scored a quick 23 runs before he was caught behind off the bowling of Tom Whelan (1/14 off four).
With Deni at 1/39, Harry Hillier (18) joined Pyle at the crease, with the pair levelling the scores at 80 before the former was stumped with the Rhinos need one run for victory.
Pyle (33 not out) and Germano (three not out) scored the winning run, before pushing the score to 2/87 to finish the innings after 23 overs.
The win saw the Rhinos move up to fifth spot on the ladder, leap-frogging Berrigan in the process.
Deni will look to finish their year on a high when they travel to take on ladder leader Finley on Saturday.
