Running champs crowned

Edward Public School held their annual cross country in the Deniliquin State Forest at Memorial Park last Friday.

Ages eight, nine and 10 years ran the 2km race while ages 11 and 12 years ran the 3km race.

Results are as follows:

8/9 Year Girls — Laura Hayes; 8/9 Yr Boys — Oliver Ives; 10 Yr Girls — Gwen Gazzara; 10 Yr Boys — Declan Leetham; 11 Yr Girls — Willow Clancy; 11 Yr Boys — Zach Andrews; 12/13 Y r Girls — Isla Ho; 12/13 Yr Boys — Jake Herberte.

The school also held a mini cross country for Kindergarten and Year 1 had a mini Cross Country at School.

Kinder Boys — Mannix Taylor, 1; Jaxson Duggan, 2; Jeffrey Grady, 3.

Kinder Girls — Isabella Goodear, 1; Myah Gazzara, 2; Jarleah Bright, 3.

Year 1 Boys — Jaxon Ives, 1; Taj McCully, 2; William Finn, 3.

Year 1 Girls — Meg Meharry, 1; Isabelle Didcock, 2; Allungah Bright, 3.
