A grade runner-up with 39 points was Noel Swainger.
There was only a small field and subsequently two grades, with B grade winner being Fay Harrington with 38 points, on countback from Rob Campbell.
Last Thursday the ladies played a versus par event, won in A grade by Vicki Brunker with -3, on countback from Lyn O’Brien. B grade winner was Jan Lord on square, a shot clear of Yvonne Holmes.
The mixed veterans event was played on Monday in which Tom Maw had an impressive 42 points, defeating runner-up Alan Lord with 38.
In Wednesday’s stableford event Greg Collins had a super round of 44 points which was easily the best score of the day and gave him the B grade win, six clear of Ian Campbell on 38. In A grade Frank Conallin had 36 points, one ahead of runner-up Wayne Hodgson.
Coming up we have a fourball best ball stableford event tomorrow, and it is also the first round of the Eastman Knockout.
Sunday is the mixed foursomes championship.
In the clubhouse, the Christmas In July night is coming up on Friday July 19. There will be a three course dinner, including prawns, for $40 per person. Please RSVP to June.
Friday night fun continues over the winter months and the support of members and visitors is appreciated as we have fewer visiting golfers and quite a few regulars who have headed north for the winter.
