It was a very competitive game against Berrigan, all the girls provided strong defensive pressure moving down the court and the versatility amongst the players worked in the Bears favour.
Despite the warmer weather Tungamah managed to pull away with another win.

Berrigan 28 defeated Tungamah 26.
Another very close game, Berrigan came out stronger than the Bears had prepared themselves for. Only a goal down at the end of the first quarter and very hot out on the court.
The bears were firey in the second quarter, great intercepts in the defensive end and aggression in the goals helped them come back to 4 goals up at half time.
Berrigan played a better 3rd quarter taking the lead at 2 goals up. The Bears held great pressure in the last quarter but rushed it into the goal third which led to as many turnovers.
An even last quarter played by both sides meant Tungamah didn’t get their come back but kept it to a 2-goal defeat.
Awards: Players player award to Soph Lidgerwood. The club got to witness an aggressive side that they can channel into fight for the ball. Soph shot well and got a lot of her rebounds.
ClubMulwala award to Grace Whitelock. Some great intercepts and defensive pressure, worked seamlessly with her teammates and Tungamah Hotel award Jade Ralph best efforts to go after every ball, she listened to coach’s advice and it paid off with double the intercepts.

Berrigan 38 defeated Tungamah 24.
The sun was shining, and the weather turned it on for a great day of netball. It was a strong start from the moment the whistle blew.
Watching the game from the sidelines, the girls demonstrated so much fight and aggression until the end. This week the Under 17s aimed to focus on the basics.
The girls drives down the court, leads and body on body pressure really showed. The defenders applied great pressure to Berrigan goalies and worked hard to get every rebound possible.
The shooters did an amazing job never dropping their head and continuing to put up many goals. The mid courters worked hard to get in front and come to the ball.
The coaches are very proud of the teams efforts so far and excited to keep growing more and more each week.

Under 15s
Berrigan 48 defeated Tungamah 17.
The girls came back after having two weeks off, knowing they had a tough game ahead. The defence fought very hard to try and get every intercept and rebound.
The attackers worked well moving around the ring to get it into the shooters. Unfortunately, the Bears couldn’t get those four points on a very hot morning, but they have many things to work on at training to become stronger.

Under 13s
Berrigan 9 defeated by Tungamah 31.
This was an awesome game to watch, the Bears girls played so well as a team with everyone having input into the games result. Lucy was able to use her height advantage in goals and had such accuracy with her shooting.
Abbi had the game of her career and was unstoppable in the midcourt taking intercepts that resulted in goals. Brooke and Elli switched it up by playing attack for a half and defense for the other, both girls took the challenge well.
The midcourt players of Charli, Chloe, Tayla and Kiera never stopped fighting for loose balls and were consistently contesting the ball.
Laila and Lillie-Ann were the defense and stuck tight all game with lots of rebounds. Thank you to the support crew of Billie and Emily, to Deb for umpiring and to Keely for stepping up at the last minute and being head coach.
Awards: Yarrawonga Fish & Chips - Elli B, Tungamah Store - Abbi M and Crusty Loaf - Lucy J.
