Game, set, match for Berry and Cooke in Benalla junior competition

A week after winning the Benalla Lawn Tennis Club’s under-15 club championships, Joe Berry and Meg Cooke conquered their competition once more - this time in the Benalla Junior Tennis Association’s Saturday competition.

With the weekly tournament coming to an end on the weekend, Berry swept the Section 1 awards, winning both the ‘Best in Competition’ perpetual trophy as well as the aggregate boy's winner, while Cooke took home the title as the aggregate girl's winner.

In other awards, Rhyss Scipioni and Henri Bradley were awarded the honour of most improved boy and girl respectively, Harrison Askew was named the best player in finals, while Patrick Neilson claimed the team manager’s encouragement award.

End of season celebrations: All Section 2 players were congratulated and presented with a medal of participation on Saturday.

In Section 2, Mimi Bradley and Yanru Zong finished their season in strong form, named as the best and fairest girl and boy of their competition, while most improved player went to Matilda Horne.
