Cars, number plates stolen

Burglars attempted to break in to a Mookarii St hotel early Saturday. The offenders attempted to jemmy a rear door to gain access to the kitchen area.

About 5 am Friday, unknown offenders gained entry to the Cobram Secondary school, leaving with a SOX baseball cap and a HP laptop. The value of the theft was about $630.

A number of sections of white plastic picket fence-style garden edging were stolen from a Karook St premises on Thursday. The fencing was valued at $60.

Sometime between October 7 and 12, a 2003 green Ford sedan was stolen from a Banks St car park. The vehicle was recovered by police on the corner of Karook and Gemmell Sts.

A Cobram man, 39, was charged with theft after he was allegedly detected by store staff placing a number of grocery items in his clothing. The value of the theft was $73.

A High St cafe was targeted by thieves sometime between October 5 and 9. Once inside, offenders stole a computer, alcohol and soft drinks to the value of about $540.

Sometime between October 4 and 11, unknown offenders stole a number plate XMO587 from a Nissan Navara parked in the owner’s Young St property. Another number plate was stolen sometime between October 3 and 11 from a Toyota Tarago, parked in the driveway of a Campbell St property.

Katamatite

A Ssangyong Musso utility, which is parked on a rural property Katamatite–Yarrawonga Rd, has had both number plates - WEN 226 - stolen, sometime between October 5 and 7.

Nathalia

A rural property on Blooms Rd, Kotupna, was targeted by thieves sometime between October 4 and 9. Offenders entered the rural property and unscrewed metal sheeting and stole fencing tools valued at about $100.

Numurkah

A Goulburn Valley Hwy service station was burgled on Sunday. About 2.30 am, a white Ford sedan was seen driving into the service station from the Shepparton direction. Two offenders allegedly jemmied the front door, while two other occupants remained in the vehicle. Offenders stole a large quantity of cigarettes.
