Deniliquin Outdoor Pools Inc to manage the local pool for another three years

Deniliquin Outdoor Pools Inc will continue managing the Deniliquin Swim Centre for another three years.

Edward River Council put the contract to tender, as is legally required, and resolved to stay with the local company at their ordinary meeting Thursday last week.

"We don't operate it a as council, we lease out the management of it and the contract ran out at the end of the last swim season," council general manager Adam McSwain said.

"We put it out for tender and received multiple tenders, but only one local business applied which was Deniliquin Outdoor Pools Inc.

"So, the current management will continue to operate the centre for a further three year period."

Mayor Norm Brennan said Deniliquin Outdoor Pools Incorporated has already been successfully managing the swim centre for five years.Â

"Council have been pleased with their performance so they will continue, which is great," he said.

"We are excited to announce the appointment of the local company and we look forward to seeing them continue to provide this service to the local community."

Council is still working on the Deniliquin Swim Centre Revitalisation project and expects the centre to be ready and operational for the start of the 2019/20 swim season.
