New deputy mayor for Murray River Council

He said Cr Campbell had shown great commitment to her role as Deputy and would continue to hold an important role in the chambers.

‘‘I welcome Cr Mathers into his new position and thank my fellow councillors for their support as I continue in the role of Mayor,’’ Cr Bilkey said.

He added Murray River Council was progressing with positive momentum in many areas, ‘‘so it’s a great time to be a member of council’’.

The current council term ends next year with council elections held in September 2020.
