Small business owners, their staff and community members are invited to the full-day workshop, to be held at Deniliquin Golf Club from 8am to 4pm on Friday, October 11.
It is being hosted by Edward River Council as part of its funding through the Drought Communities Program, and coincides with Small Business Month.
It is the third in a series of events focusing on resilience during drought and will include workshops that address resilience, profitability, digital marketing, customer service, high performing teams and public relations.
The day will feature a high calibre line-up of speakers who will focus on themes including resilience under pressure, confident cashflow and profit planning, customer service, digital marketing, public relations, and record keeping.
They are:
● Michael Licenblat - Becoming Resilient to Pressure in Today’s Business World
●Jen Waterson - Confident Profit & Cashflow Planning
● Cate Schreck - The Art of Customer Service
● Jenn Donovan - Email and Digital Marketing
●Mark Bloodworth - High Performing Teams
● Jules Brook - Handling Your Own PR
The day is aimed at all forms of small business owners, whether retail, service or online.
Mayor Cr Norm Brennan said he hoped they would take advantage of the advice on offer.
“This sort of help and advice doesn’t come around that often, so I would encourage business owners to attend and try to get as much out of the day as possible (to help) move their business forward.
“I was a small business owner for 25 years, so I know how important every bit of advice can be.”
Tickets, which include morning and afternoon tea, lunch and access to all workshops are $50 and available at https://business-deniliquin.eventbrite.com.au
