It has supported health workshop organisations Tomorrow Man and Tomorrow Woman to host sessions at Deniliquin High School next Wednesday.
For the adults, Tomorrow Man will also host a free ‘A Night with the Blokes’, at Deniliquin RSL Club on Wednesday night.
The five person team will be delivering the workshops tailored to each gender, focusing on breaking through their limits of stereotypes and expectations.
‘‘For men specifically, we look at trying to have them break through the stereotype of showing no emotion and ignoring the feelings when they do arise,’’ Tomorrow Man facilitator Andrew Dennis said.
‘‘If you look at the stats it’s shocking how bad the mental health of men in this country can get.
‘‘So these workshops are about helping them focus on positives in their lives and to encourage them to reach out for help when needed.”
‘A Night with the Blokes’ will be at the RSL Club on Wednesday, from 7pm.
While it is a free event, those wishing to attend are asked to register through the Facebook event page, at https://www.facebook.com/events/457971011478955/.
