A spectacular day for the family will be hosted at the restaurant this Saturday, November 16, to help Ronald McDonald Charities reach its $4.5 million national goal.
The charity supports seriously ill children and their families, which has been utilised by local families.
All proceeds from Saturday’s McHappy Day activities will support Ronald McDonald House charity, Ronald McDonald Learning Program, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms and Ronald McDonald Family Retreats.
Deniliquin McDonald’s event manager Kahli Reeves said it is a cause worth supporting.
‘‘It is going to be a great day,’’ she said.
‘‘Not only because it will be a lot of fun but because we are supporting something that even I have had to use in a time of crisis myself.
‘‘You never know when it might be you that needs to use their charity, so I urge everyone to get involved, whether it is just showing up on the day, donating or buying McHappy day merchandise.’’
Available on Saturday will be car window washing in the drive-thru, a visit from emergency services and a circus themed party room where kids can make their own masks or enjoy some colouring-in.
Funds are raised through the sale of Big Macs, or you can buy a ‘Helping Hand’ for $2, $10 or $50, ‘Silly Socks’ for $5 and Big Mac sauce bottles for $12 until the close of business on Sunday.
There will also be a monster raffle, with about $1300 in prizes.
Prizes include $300 in gift vouchers, bottles of wine, two adult 2020 memberships to the Rams Football and Netball Club for 2020, tool bag and tools, gift hampers and a 2020 Deni Ute Muster adult pass and merchandise pack.
Raffle tickets are on sale at Deniliquin McDonald’s for $4 each or three for $10.
