Visitor a shop local winner

By Olivia Duffey

A $200 Deni Gift Card  ‘‘came at the right time’’ according to last week’s Golden Bunny Bonanza winner Terre Boggust.

The Kerang resident said she was enjoying a visit to Deniliquin with her husband and appreciating the great deals and excellent service our local businesses offer.

‘‘We travelled to Deniliquin recently because Harvey Norman had a great deal on cameras,’’ she said.

‘‘From that, we ended up shopping all over and had a lovely lunch in town.’’

Mrs Boggust believes shopping local is ‘‘very important’’.

‘‘It keeps everything going and the town going,’’ she said.

‘‘Then people want to come in and it is nice to shop around.’’

Mrs Boggust is looking forward to her next Deniliquin trip, where she will use the gift card for her Christmas shopping.

There are two more of these weekly prizes to give away before the grand prize of $5000 is drawn on December 20.

All prizes come in the form of a Deni Gift Card, which is a Deniliquin Business Chamber initiative and can be spent at any participating local business.

To make sure you’re in the running for the remaining prizes, all you have to do is shop at a participating Deniliquin business. You earn one ticket for every $20 spent, up to 10 tickets in any one transaction.

Simply complete the ticket and place it in the barrel at IGA or the entry box at a participating business.

The Golden Bunny Bonanza is a Pastoral Times initiative proudly supported by the Deniliquin Business Chamber, and platinum sponsors Central IGA, Central Cellarbrations and Josh’s Bakehouse, Deniliquin RSL Club, Harvey Norman, 2QN and Edge FM, and Intersport Bennetts.
