The woman fronted court in Albury on Friday and was refused bail pending a second hearing.
Police went to the woman’s Deniliquin home about 10.30am Thursday to execute a search warrant, and report to have located a male occupant with knife wounds.
The man is believed to have sustained the injuries to his arm and back during an earlier altercation with the woman.
In the planned search of the home, officers from the Deniliquin Criminal Investigation and Proactive Crime Units allege to have found and seized more than $16,000 in cash, and quantities of the drugs ‘ice’ and cannabis.
A knife believed to be used in the assault was also seized.
Murray River Police District crime manager Detective Acting Inspector Chris Wallace said the quantity seized was enough to charge the female occupant of the home with supply.
He said it was enough that ‘‘local drug supply will take a big hit’’.
‘‘Thanks to the proactive efforts and policing from our officers in Deniliquin, drugs that have the potential to tear apart families have been taken off our streets,’’ he said.
‘‘We will continue to disrupt and prevent the supply of illicit drugs to our community.’’
The woman was charged with reckless wounding, supply of a prohibited drug and deal with property proceeds of crime.
The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, before being taken to Deniliquin Hospital.
Ambulance Service of NSW’s southern sector Chief Inspector of service delivery Bruce Purves said the man was transported in a stable condition.
He said the man has wounds of varying severity and depth, but said most were considered to be ‘‘minor wounds’’ and classified as lacerations.
Inquiries are continuing. Police said further charges may be laid.
