‘‘Our students have been working hard to learn their lines and behind the scenes our light and sound producer Anthony Myatt, assistant director Sara Myatt and myself have been also been working to make sure this show comes together,’’ director Sam Willis said.
‘‘Anthony has been hard at work creating our lighting and securing our sound systems to wow the audience while Sara and choreographer Olivia Duffey have been working with the students on their lines and dance, as well as set design.
‘‘We are so proud of and excited to see the students develop through this play.
‘‘We hope the community will rally around our students and support them in their biggest performance yet.’’
In Your’e History a nerdy teenager turns a portable classroom into a time machine, and the mischievous detention class is sent hurtling back through history.
They discover vicious vikings, pilates practising pirates, disco happy gladiators, a rapping Romeo and Juliet and the infamous Oedipus.
It will be the company’s third production.
‘‘Ticket sales go back into the company to ensure our children can have access to drama, dance and the creative arts and to be able to perform in the best environment,’’ Mr Willis said.
‘‘Their dedication inspires us to make sure the creative arts are supported and that it is an opportunity for everyone.’’
Tickets can be purchased at www.denitheatrecompany.com/events.
They are $15 for a child, $30 for an adult or $80 for a family of two adults and two children.
Online sales close on March 26, after which time tickets will be available at the door.
