The first accident occurred about 10.45am on Tuesday when a Holden Cruze being driven by a Deniliquin woman and a Holden Captiva driven by another Deniliquin woman collided at the Hardinge and Poictiers Sts intersection.
Both vehicles were unable to be driven and had to be towed from the scene. Police diverted traffic until the intersection was cleared.
The 48 year-old driver of the Captiva was treated at Deniliquin Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
A number of witnesses have been identified and are helping police with their investigations.
The second accident was about 2pm on Wednesday, when two cars collided at the Fowler and St Michael Sts intersection.
Police said it appeared one car was attempting to exit and the other enter St Michael’s St.
One car had to be towed and one of the drivers was treated at Deniliquin Hospital for an injury to their knee.
Both drivers were breath tested and returned a negative result.
Police are continuing their investigations into both accidents.
Licences suspended
Two people had their licence suspended on the weekend after allegedly recording a blood alcohol content over the 0.05 legal limit.
Police said they stopped a 46 year-old Deniliquin man at 12.50am on the corner of Maher and Decimus Sts for a random breath test.
After a positive reading he was taken to Deniliquin Police Station where an alleged reading of 0.180 was recorded.
His licence was suspended and he is expected to face court in July.
Police also stopped a 49 year-old Deniliquin woman at 2.10am in Henry St on Sunday for a random breath test.
After a positive reading she was taken to the police station where an alleged reading of 0.103 was recorded.
She was issued with a driving suspension notice and will also face court in July.
Drugs found
A 43 year-old Deniliquin man was allegedly found with drugs on Saturday.
While on patrol, police stopped to speak to a 43 year-old Deniliquin man who they said had been loitering in Henry St, near Macauley St, at about 4.30am.
Police searched the man and allegedly found methamphetamine, an ice pipe and a small amount of cannabis.
He is expected to appear in court in July on drug charges.
