The recent border closure between NSW and Victoria has forced district landholder and Barham Koondrook Bridge editor Lloyd Polkinghorne to postpone his big journey.

Through ‘Lloyd’s Walk for Water’, the 36 year-old was going to hit the road on August 15 and walk more than 300km between Barham and the Hume Dam over two weeks.
He announced on Friday that because members of his support team and sponsor BEEFitUP Australia are based in Victoria, the walk would be held at a later date.
A start date has not yet been confirmed.
The walk is designed to bring awareness to the impact of water policy on district communities.
When he does set off in his walk, he expects stop in Deniliquin, Blighty, Finley, Berrigan, Howlong and Corowa to host awareness and fundraising nights.
Minion mishap
Locals will be happy to know that the Pisasale family’s Stuart the Minion mailbox will make a full recovery after an incident on the weekend.
During the wild weather near the Pisasale’s Woodlea property, a car reportedly lost control and crashed into the mail box.
Belinda Pisasale said while Stuart came off second best, she was pleased the driver was unhurt.
‘‘It was a single vehicle incident where the car slid on the ice (hail) and took out our mailbox,’’ she said.
‘‘Thankfully the driver was not hurt and the car was able to be driven away the next morning.
‘‘The same couldn’t be said for poor Stuart though. We retrieved him in the morning along with his limbs.
‘‘He was left as a quadruple amputee, but after a bit of welding he has now got all four of his limbs reattached.
‘‘There is still a bit of cosmetic work left however, but he should make a full recovery.’’
Rough game
Todd Marshall had a rough day against GWS on Sunday, and was on the receiving end of two notable physical altercations.
The first came during the second quarter when he was pinned for holding the ball (incorrect disposal) deep in Port Adelaide’s forward line.
As the former Deni Rams junior laid on his stomach, Giants player Aidan Corr was filmed allegedly pushing Marshall’s face into the ground before he could get up.
Marshall again copped a knock later in the game, in a head clash with GWS defender Phil Davis.
He ran towards Davis to put pressure on him and accidentally collided with the former Giants captain.
Luckily neither player was injured.
The Power got the last laugh on GWS, recording a 17 point win.

Marketing giveaway
Leeton-headquartered Sauce Communications is giving away more than $8,000 in communications and marketing support to COVID-19 affected businesses over the next two weeks, with half of the haul reserved for organisations based in the Riverina.
Sauce director Liane Gawne said Sauce itself has been hit hard by COVID-19, but wanted to support others through the development of four low cost recovery communications packages to support other businesses on the same journey.
‘‘Because we’re all in this together, we’re giving away two of our packages over the next two weeks, plus another eight strategic counsel sessions to help businesses deal with a specific marketing or communications issue. We know firsthand what devastating impacts COVID-19 has had across many sectors and want to play a part in helping other businesses get back on top of their game, especially those close to home,’’ she said.
To enter, eligible businesses must subscribe to Sauce’s newsletter and complete a survey, including answering in 100 words or less ‘What impact has COVID-19 had on your business’ and ‘how can Sauce help you get back on top of your game?’
Winners will be announced on July 20 and July 27. Go to www.saucecommunications.com.au/giveaway for details.
