The initiative delivered monthly talks, focused on improving awareness of some of the health concerns identified as having an impact on the local community.
Two of the topics will be presented again, this time as a free evening talk to reach more community members.
LHAC chair Lynda Barclay said the two talks will cover stroke and kidney disease, and will be presented in one evening on Wednesday, July 23.
Each will focus on signs and symptoms, what you can do to reduce your risk, and services available in the community.
“Stroke and kidney disease were identified as significant health issues within our region, and were very well attended last year,” Mrs Barclay said.
Presenting on kidney health will be Deniliquin Hospital renal nurse unit manager Alana Tilders.
Covering the stroke information will be Rachelle Austin, who is a Deniliquin emergency department clinical nurse specialist and a Telestroke operator.
She will also provide information on the life-saving Telestroke Service at Deniliquin Health Service.
The health talk will be hosted at the Deniliquin RSL Club between 5.30pm and 7pm, on July 23. There will be a short break between the two subjects, and tea and coffee will be provided.
