So while everyone has been thankful to still be on the course throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, we have missed the 19th.
But it is now back, almost to normal, with the clubhouse open on Wednesday following the easing of restrictions.
Strict social distancing protocols apply, including signing in and following the instructions of the COVID-19 marshal (Geoff Bracken did an excellent job on Wednesday afternoon).
Raffles and meals return tonight, with registration required. Raffle tickets will be on sale from 6pm with draws from 7.30.
On the course, Saturday was a fourball best ball and the ladies were to the fore, with Virginia Lange and Jodie Sefton scoring 46 points to take the prize, by a shot from Brian Bourke and Adam Wettenhall. They were a further shot ahead of Jimmy Poka jnr and Ray Phillips who scored 44, finishing third on countback from Neil Boswell and Robin Hood.
Last Thursday the ladies had a stableford event in which Shandra Simpson scored 39 points to comfortably win A grade from Jane Armytage on 35. B grade winner as Esther Bolton on 34, from Lorraine Kemp 33.
On Wednesday Graeme Rothwell had 38 points to win A grade on countback from Chris Mitsch, in B grade Andrew Hall had 34 to defeat Tom Maw 33, and in C grade Peter Robinson had 37, four clear of runner-up Lee Pattinson 33.
The Winter Classic will be played this weekend with big fields for the slightly altered fourball aggregate event. Thanks to our sponsors - Riverina Watermatic, Cleaner Carpets, MRT Spraying and Nutrien Ag Solutions - and good luck to all players. With the weather expected to be fine, though a bit cool, it should be a great weekend.
