Playing in just his 22nd senior match for the Power, Marshall was a key instigator on the scoreboard in the first quarter giving his side the lead, 4.2 (26) to 2.1 (13).
He kicked his two goals for the game in the first and set up another with a deep kick inside 50 after a strong mark.
Marshall put the first goal through for the Power after a long bomb into the Power’s 50 set him up nicely to slot it through with nine minutes remaining for the quarter.
‘‘It was good to get back out on Adelaide Oval and have a strong win against our arch rivals, even better that we were able to have 1500 or so fans allowed to watch and cheer,’’ Marshall said yesterday.
‘‘We all stayed connected throughout the break checking in on one another and training in pairs, so when we got back it didn't take us long to get that strong connection back on the field.
‘‘It was good to be able to hit the scoreboard in the first quarter and get us going as a team.
‘‘Our forward line has some great experience and some young guns down there, so it’s good to be a part of it alongside (Charlie) Dixon and (Robbie) Gray and watch them go to work.
‘‘Then to have (Zak) Butters and (Connor ) Rozee do what they do, it’s a lot of fun.’’
A goal hungry Power stampede ended in a 17.8 (110) to 5.5 (35) thrashing of their long time South Australian rivals.
The 21 year-old Marshall finished with 11 disposals, six marks, two goals and six score involvements.
Big loss for Lloyd’s Bulldogs
Lloyd and his Western Bulldogs had a big shock on Sunday night at Marvel Stadium, with a punishing loss to St Kilda.
The Saints managed 14.4 (88) to the Bulldogs’ 7.7 (49).
Lloyd had his hands on the Sherrin early but missed an opportunity, kicking a behind late in the first term. In fact it was inaccuracy that helped St Kilda taking a narrow lead into the first break, despite the Bulldogs having more scoring shots.
The Saints kicked away in the third term and did not look back, going on to record a comfortable 39 point win.
Lloyd finished with seven disposals, two marks, three tackles and one behind in the contest.
