Marikoriko had solid support to start $3.70 favourite after an encouraging second at Seymour followed by an easy win in a Tatura trial last week.
The seven year-old mare ridden by Lachlan King led from start to finish in the Maiden Plate (2050m).
She defeated Echuca four year-old Court Painter by 8 3/4 lengths with Pacific Crest third.
The Daryl Archard trained Court Painter improved from last to third on the turn but conceded many lengths to the winner.
Belinda Dunn, who prepares Marikoriko, combines training, cattle farming and trackwork riding.
She said the mare is one-paced but could now go on to win a Rating 58 race.

The two year-old displayed Group ability winning at Rosehill on Saturday.
He was third in the Silver Slipper Stakes at his only previous start.
Farnan won that race and went on to win the Golden Slipper.
Team Hawkes already have several potential spring stars led by Master Of Wine, a leading fancy for the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups.
He was spelled after finishing fourth in the weight for age Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) at Randwick.
Master Of Wine had won easily in lower grade at his previous four starts.

Mount Popa, a winner over 2400m in France, carried 60kg for a decisive win in a Randwick Benchmark 78 (2000m) on June 20.
Masked Crusader won a Caulfield, Bendigo and Randwick after fifth placing on debut.
Doubtland was spelled after winning a two year-old Group 3 race at Randwick in April.
The colt also won at Randwick at his only previous outing.
