Fresh from their performance at Deniliquin on Saturday, cowboys and cowgirls will saddle up again at Finley for the twilight event.
Both twilight events are included in the Australian Pro Rodeo Association circuit, with points up for grabs for the weekend’s top performers.
Each will exhibit fast paced, rough stock rides which are sure to include thrills and spills.
In addition to the crowd-favourite bull ride, there will be saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, rope and tie and barrel racing events.
Hosted by the Finley Apex Club, the Finley Rodeo has traditionally been held during New Year’s celebrations.
The COVID-19 pandemic forced a date change last year, but the new Easter date worked so well the organisers stuck with it.
The gates to the recently upgraded rodeo arena at the Finley Showgrounds will open at 4pm, with live action from 5pm.
A licensed bar and catering will be available, as well as children’s entertainment.
Entry to the Finley Rodeo is $30 for adults, $20 for aged pensioners and $60 for a family of four.
Children under six get in free with an accompanying adult, while the price for seven to 12 year-olds is $5 and $15 for 13 to 17 year-olds.
